Established by Jacqueline Hodges, HQ Financial Group is a multi-disciplinary firm specialised in providing taxation, accounting, and financial advisory services to sole traders, individuals, and micro-businesses. Our expertise in Taxation, Wealth Management, Self-managed Superannuation (SMSF) Services, Business Planning and Advisory, and overall Financial Management allows us to proactively provide trusted and balanced advice to our clients that saves both their time and money.

We follow a supportive, personal, and practical approach to build long-term and trusted relationships with our clients. We collaborate with our clients to progress towards a common goal of sustainable success.

Our services can be accessed through our offices in Coorparoo and Ipswich. In addition, we offer virtual advisory meetings on request to make the process convenient for our clients .

Meet Our Team

Director at HQ Financial Group

Jacqueline Hodges, Director

Jacqueline is a Chartered Accountant, an SMSF Specialist Adviser and SMSF Auditor with over 25 years of experience spanning public practice, commerce, education and government. She commenced her career in 1993 working in boutique Chartered Accounting firms, whilst progressing through university. Following university, Jacqueline worked in a Big 4 firm and then a middle tier firm before changing careers to become an accounting and tax law writer. During the GFC, Jacqueline accepted the role within AusIndustry’s Melbourne R&D team, where she worked as Assistant State Manager – R&D.

Whilst at AusIndustry, Jacqueline decided to return to public practice and commenced Moore Super, a boutique firm in Melbourne focusing on SMSF accounting and audit. On returning to Brisbane in 2013, she set up HQtax, which continues today.

In 2015, Jacqueline established HQ Wealth, the financial advisory arm of the business. Jacqueline holds a Diploma of Financial Planning which she is currently updating to meet the new education requirements for financial advisers.

Jacqueline holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Queensland, a Professional Certificate in Self-Managed Superannuation Funds from the University of Adelaide, and a Masters of Tax Law from the University of Melbourne. She has written an MBA level accounting course for RMIT and was a tax law trainer and writer with the Institute of Chartered Accountants and Taxpayers Australia. She currently sits on the Board of several Charities.
